Logo for 'Coastal' clothing shop

This is my logo design for 'Coastal' clothing. I got my inspiration from David Seadon's Pen & Paper logo design below.

My Inspiration

Kelly Hoppen is one of my favorite Interior Designers. Kelly is a South-African-born British interior designer and owner of 'Kelly Hoppen Interiors'. Kelly's east-meets-west style has earned her an ever expanding, international client base from the world of business, sports, film and fashion. Her designs are unique but radiate elegance and sophistication.

New Graphics Brief

For my new graphics brief I will have to design a advertisement poster for one of the following scenarios

• Festival for locally grown and organic food and drink
• New local fashion store called 'Coastal' aimed at 15-25 age group
• Promote the use of bicycles and a healthy life sytle to teenagers
• New aquarium opening in the South West next year

I have chosen to produce a advert for the new fashion store 'Coastal'. I thought this would be a good choice as I live right on the Coast and I get a lot of inspiration from their. Also it is a good place for me to do a photoshoot for the promotion of the shop. Further on I would like to explore the potential of designing a 3D layout of the new store plan as I an very into interior design and it links in well with up coming thing I can do within the project.

My Business Card Design 1

Front

On the front of my business card I included the word 'Hello' in numerous languages. I thought this would be a good idea as many people that aren't English can still understand what it says.

Back

 

On the back of my business card it is a much more minimal design. I think by separating my details from the logo with a simple line has worked quite effectively.

Wooden Mesh Fabric By Diego Vencato

Wooden Mesh New composite material

 Wooden Mesh is a new composite material that was developed by Diego Vencato with Albeflex's Alberto Martinuzzo. It was made by cutting up timber panels into small polygonal tiles and arranging them in geoform patterns.

The two-dimensional surface of a piece of wood has been completely transformed to become as smooth and soft as fabric.

Palolo Cirio is a media artist known for his controversial and innovative artworks. In quite recent work from 2012 he was busy finding people on Google Street Veiw to print off in life-size proption and without authorization he cut out the life size poster and stuck it to the walls at the same spot where they were taken.
